Norway Awards NOK 3.94 Billion to Two Floating Offshore Wind Projects

On 2 November, Enova announced funding for Fortius Offshore Wind and Fram Wind Solutions to develop two floating offshore wind projects at the METCentre test site near Karmøy. The awards total NOK 3.94 billion, comprising NOK 2 billion and NOK 1.94 billion respectively, subject to project implementation. Each project will demonstrate floating wind technology using two 18.5 MW turbines. The investment creates opportunities for renewable-energy suppliers, environmental consultants and offshore technology partners.
